Music

Where music brings us together.

At Malibu Methodist Church, music is something we embrace fully — sought after, shared, and lived whenever we can.
From Sunday services to concerts and Malibu Music Nights, it’s a space where people gather not only to listen, but to express, participate, and bring music to life together.

MALIBU MUSIC NIGHTS

Come play, listen and enjoy live music Monday Evenings 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Open Mic format.

OUR CHOIR

Our choir at MUMC is all about enhancing our congregation’s spiritual experience. And diversity and inclusion are our middle names! Our members are diverse culturally and musically, and we welcome ALL levels of musicianship and all ages! Most of us have been together for years. We have great soloists, and our choices of music include everything from Handel to The Beatles, Tom Petty to jazz to traditional hymns. All are welcome to join us. We rehearse at 9:45 Sundays before our worship service begins. Come join us for fun and community!

CONCERTS & EVENTS

The Pie Festival,  a reservoir of local talents...

The Malibu Pie Festival has featured a vibrant mix of local talent over the years, from the lively sounds of Ukamusic—featuring Butch Norton, Naomi Louise Warne, and Mark London Sims—to the soulful rhythms of the Melvin Eddy Blues Band. More recently, the stage has welcomed a new wave of performers, including Sierra Highway, U.S. 99 Blues & Rock Band, Malibu Music Nights, Devon Meyers, Joe Valdes (acoustic guitar), Run Screaming, and Gabe Diebel (acoustic guitar & vocals). Each performance adds its own energy to the day, contributing to the warm, festive spirit that defines the festival.

Voices that matters

We also host special concerts that bring a deeper sense of purpose and connection to our community. Among them, evenings with the Matsiko World Orphan Choir are especially meaningful—sharing powerful voices and personal stories from children around the world. These evenings offer a chance to encounter powerful stories and voices that stay with us long after the music ends.
