CHILDREN, YOUTH & FAMILY
We are dedicated to offering a safe, fun, nurturing environment helping to shape our community’s children and youth to be responsible and caring adults.
Children will experience spiritual growth, ethical choices and community service through such activities as Biblical stories, music, outings and outreach projects like beach clean-ups, baby blankets for field workers, raising money for disaster relief (“UMCOR” www.umcor.org ), caroling to elders and the housebound, and cooking for the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
Fun family events include Cinema in the Courtyard & BBQ, Board Game Nights, Beach Days, the Pie Festival, Advent Evening, Valentine’s Evening, Las Posadas and community service projects!
MUMC programs are open to all.

Malibu Music Jam Sessions
Open to Malibu Middle and HS students free of charge who are in the visual and performing arts. Led by Devon Meyers, local Malibu High parent, musician, song writer and photographer.
ADULT GROUPS
Women’s Retreat
For almost three decades, the women of MUMC have gathered annually for a weekend women’s retreat. We have come to know one another, and to appreciate each other more deeply as we gather. Programs are designed to enlighten and educate, strengthen and clarify, and even entertain, as we strive to be the persons God calls us to be.
Breakfast Club (Adult Bible Study- on hold)
Our spiritual journeys are better with companions! Join us Sunday mornings in the Mayhugh building to share breakfast and stories as we encourage and pray for one another and work out what it means to follow Jesus in our everyday lives. The group is open to all, regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey. Topics and series by Adam Hamilton, Andy Stanley, Bob Goff, Reuben Job and others guide our time together.
Democracy & Justice Prayer Circle
We would like to invite you to join us in praying daily for democracy and justice.
We are hoping to have two or three folks praying together at various times throughout the day. If you would like to join our growing circle, please let us know what time of day you will pray. We will add you to our list of growing prayers. Also, if you have friends near and far who would like to pray with us, they are welcome.
Thanks for thinking about this and making the pledge to pray daily. We hope to fill every hour with many prayers for democracy and justice.
