Easter and New Beginnings | Monday Mornings

By Pastor Sandy Liddell

Easter.

A time for new beginnings, new life, new opportunities to become our best selves...to become the people God created us to be...complicated by this worldwide pandemic.

Still, we believe that God is present with all of us, each and everyone of us.

We believe God is, even in this most unusual time, perhaps especially in this most unusual time, God is calling us to be come our best selves.

And, we believe that God is at work at this very moment — in every moment — to help us become whom God intended us to be from our point of conception;

to help us become the best version of ourselves;

to do our very best to help one another;

to become our brother's and sister's keeper;

for all of us to have the life God intends for the entire creation.

I know, have heard stories of the wonderful things so many of you are doing:

feeding people, making masks, calling those who are lonesome, paying attention to what is going on in Malibu, in the nation, the world...sharing ideas, and poetry and music and things that make us laugh...and cry.

And, most of us have a bit more time to think these days;

to think about these matters;

to think abut our lives;

to think about where we are headed;

to think about our dreams, even the secret ones we never mention...and time to pray.

Just to be quiet and sit with God for a while.

For my part, I will be holding good thoughts for each of you...for your time of thinking and praying and relating to one another—and for you becoming your best selves.

If you want to talk? Give me a call. Blessings to you and yours.
